Maine Licensed Medical Director

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Medical Director for a Health Plan in a remote capacity.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive the cost management component of the Health Plan's Triple Aim strategy
• Perform medical necessity reviews and contribute to case reviews for quality assurance
• Assist in the development of Utilization Management and Disease Management Program Descriptions to meet accreditation standards

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• MD/DO degree
• Active and unrestricted medical license in Maine or New Hampshire, or eligibility for additional state licensure
• Board certified physician with post-graduate experience in direct patient care
• 2-5 years of experience in utilization management within a health plan setting preferred
• Deep knowledge of Health Care systems and Managed Care concepts
