Maine Licensed Neurology Nurse Practitioner

Job Summary

To enhance virtual patient care, the full-time Maine Licensed Neurology Nurse Practitioner will provide direct clinical care to patients with neurological conditions and collaborate with physicians remotely from Maine.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver telehealth assessments, develop care plans, and manage ongoing treatment for patients with neurological conditions
• Collaborate with supervising physicians and the care team to ensure continuity of care and effective patient management
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, and disease progression while maintaining accurate clinical documentation

Required qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in Maine; certification in geriatrics, adult-gerontology, or family practice preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in neurology, memory care, or dementia care settings
• Strong clinical judgment and documentation skills
• Ability to manage a full patient panel independently with physician collaboration
• Excellent communication skills with patients experiencing cognitive decline and their caregivers
