Job Summary

A company is looking for a Public Health Physician to provide expertise in workplace health and safety, PFAS response, and carbon monoxide poisoning surveillance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the establishment of the Maine CDC Worker Safety and Health Program and improve compliance with safety regulations
  • Assist in developing a reporting system for PFAS test results and evaluate farm workers' exposure to PFAS
  • Review analysis findings and provide feedback on manuscripts related to carbon monoxide poisoning surveillance
Required Qualifications
  • License to practice medicine in Maine
  • Training and experience with environmental and occupational chemical exposures
  • Knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations and best practices
  • Ability to understand scientific, epidemiologic, and medical literature
  • Experience in reviewing and creating public health guidance for chemical exposures
