Job Summary
A company is looking for a Public Health Physician to provide expertise in workplace health and safety, PFAS response, and carbon monoxide poisoning surveillance.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the establishment of the Maine CDC Worker Safety and Health Program and improve compliance with safety regulations
- Assist in developing a reporting system for PFAS test results and evaluate farm workers' exposure to PFAS
- Review analysis findings and provide feedback on manuscripts related to carbon monoxide poisoning surveillance
Required Qualifications
- License to practice medicine in Maine
- Training and experience with environmental and occupational chemical exposures
- Knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations and best practices
- Ability to understand scientific, epidemiologic, and medical literature
- Experience in reviewing and creating public health guidance for chemical exposures
