Job Summary

A company is looking for a Substance Use Counselor.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate guidance in individual and group counseling sessions
• Plan, oversee, and document the patient's recovery and treatment plans
• Conduct initial and follow-up assessments, and provide crisis intervention as needed

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• High school diploma or GED; Bachelor's or Master's degree preferred in social or health services
• Maine CADC or LADC certification is required
• Previous experience in addiction recovery or behavioral health settings
• Familiarity with Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) and evidence-based practices
• Experience in documentation and maintaining clinical notes in compliance with regulations
