Maine Pharmacy PA Technician
Job Summary
Supporting the prior authorization and appeals process, the remote Senior Pharmacy PA/Appeals Technician will manage high volumes of inquiries and requests, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance while working a full-time schedule from Maine or Vermont.
Key responsibilities
- Manage inbound and outbound calls, averaging 50+ daily, while providing professional service to members and healthcare providers
- Review and process prior authorization requests, ensuring completeness and compliance with regulatory requirements
- Research and verify information related to medications, benefits, and eligibility to resolve prior authorization questions
Required qualifications
- Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician licensure or certification as required by the state of residence
- 6+ months of experience in customer service or healthcare-related roles
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word
- Ability to work an 8-hour shift Monday - Friday between 8am - 8pm EST, with rotating weekend responsibilities
- Currently located in Maine or Vermont
