Job Summary

A company is looking for a Mainframe and Java Engineer.

Key Responsibilities

Support the modernization effort by decoupling a large-scale legacy DB2 database and refactoring COBOL programs
Transition data access patterns to new architectural components while maintaining business-critical functionality
Collaborate with internal teams for onboarding and ongoing support in a new client environment

Required Qualifications

Strong command of COBOL for reading, modifying, and testing programs
Proficient in Java programming
Experience with JCL for job execution and batch processing in mainframe environments
Deep understanding of DB2 access methods, particularly on mainframes
Familiarity with API specifications and data mapping
