Job Summary

Mainframe Application Architect, a full-time remote position focused on maintaining and enhancing critical Unemployment Insurance systems while driving modernization efforts for Disability Insurance platforms through application architecture expertise and COBOL development.

Key Responsibilities

Partner with client stakeholders to analyze business and architectural requirements and recommend scalable solutions
Design, develop, and enhance applications on IBM z/OS platforms while leading mainframe modernization efforts
Provide technical troubleshooting and issue resolution across development and production systems

Required Qualifications

12+ years of hands-on experience in COBOL development within IBM z/OS mainframe environments
Strong expertise in IMS DB and DB2
Advanced experience with CA7 scheduling
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience
Experience across the full SDLC (Development System Test UAT Production)
