Job Summary
Seeking two Principal Mainframe Assembler Developers for a contract role focused on leading a critical Fuel Pre-Authorization project, where the developers will modify low-level Mainframe Assembler code, support mainframe operations during cloud migration, and implement real-time transaction logic, all while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Modify and develop low-level Mainframe Assembler (BAL) code for the 0120 automated fuel dispenser transaction
- Maintain and support ongoing mainframe operations to ensure business continuity during cloud migration
- Implement architecture changes for near-real-time transaction processing and ensure proper transaction reversals
Required qualifications
- 15+ years of experience in Mainframe IBM Assembler (BAL) development
- Deep hands-on experience with the Connex switching/payment processing environment
- Proven expertise using Xpediter for mainframe debugging and troubleshooting
- Strong understanding of financial transaction messaging and automated fuel dispenser workflows
- Previous experience in environments undergoing mainframe-to-cloud migration is highly preferred
