Mainframe Automation Migration Engineer

Job Summary

To support high-impact automation migration projects, the remote Mainframe System Automation Migration Engineer will lead migrations from CA OPS/MVS to IBM Tivoli Systems Automation for z/OS, configure automation solutions, and develop automation rules and scripts.

Key responsibilities

• Lead migration projects from CA OPS/MVS to IBM Tivoli Systems Automation for z/OS and from CA Automation Point to IBM SAIOM
• Configure and implement IBM Systems Automation solutions, including policy-based automation for z/OS environments
• Collaborate with operations teams to optimize system startup, shutdown, and recovery processes, ensuring high availability and operational efficiency

Required qualifications

• Minimum of 5+ years experience in mainframe operations, support, or consultancy roles
• Advanced knowledge and hands-on experience with IBM Tivoli Systems Automation for z/OS
• Proficiency in CA OPS/MVS, TSO, ISPF, and JCL
• Strong scripting skills in REXX and working knowledge of System Automation Policy Database (PDB)
• Proven experience in z/OS automation migration projects and familiarity with NetView for z/OS
