Mainframe CICS Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Mainframe CICS Engineer - Remote.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all phases of CICS engineering, system and software maintenance, and operational functions
• Provide on-call support and maintenance for the CICS environment outside of normal working hours
• Interface with application developers and operations teams to ensure optimal CICS performance

Required Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of CICS performance & tuning, debugging, and dump analysis
• Experience with SMP/E, software upgrades, and maintenance
• Familiarity with CICS parameters and resource definitions for performance control
• Experience with CICSPlex SM implementation and customization
• Knowledge of Cobol to support application developers
