Mainframe CICS & MQ Specialist
Job Summary
Mainframe CICS & MQ Specialist, a remote contract position requiring extensive experience in managing Mainframe CICS and MQ subsystems, responsible for system maintenance, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and upgrade CICS Transaction Server, MQSeries, and related products
- Monitor and manage CICS regions and environments for load balancing and performance optimization
- Provide 24x7 support, perform dump analysis, and resolve production issues
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience with Mainframe CICS and MQ subsystems
- In-depth knowledge of SMP/E for installation work on CICS and associated products
- Strong understanding of RACF security and ability to implement security rules for CICS
- Experience with CICS MRO environments and resource definition online (RDO)
- Proficiency in performance tuning and analyzing system performance metrics
