Mainframe COBOL Developer

Job Summary

Seeking an experienced Mainframe COBOL Developer with Java expertise, the full-time remote position will focus on developing, maintaining, and supporting enterprise mainframe applications while translating business requirements into technical solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain enterprise mainframe applications using COBOL and IBM z/OS
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions and handle batch and online processing
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve production issues and ensure system performance and reliability

Required qualifications

• Strong expertise in COBOL, Java, JCL, DB2, and CICS
• Experience with IBM z/OS and mainframe debugging and performance tuning
• Familiarity with VSAM/IMS and mainframe modernization
• Experience in the financial domain is preferred
• Knowledge of tools like Endevor, File-Aid, and Abend-Aid is a plus
