Mainframe Developer COBOL

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Mainframe Developer (COBOL) to maintain and enhance mission-critical systems while collaborating with the development team.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze, design, develop, test, and maintain application code for mainframe systems
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, including job failures and system abends
• Create and maintain technical documentation and support system testing efforts

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of COBOL development experience in enterprise mainframe environments
• Minimum 5 years of experience with JCL, including job scheduling and batch processing
• Minimum 3 years of experience with NATURAL programming
• Minimum 3 years of experience with ADABAS, including database structures
• Strong experience analyzing and maintaining large legacy codebases
