Mainframe Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Mainframe Engineer III to develop and maintain complex mainframe-based computer applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure and implement complex solutions for legacy mainframe systems to meet business requirements
• Monitor resource use and create automation for moderately complex tasks, implementing monitoring and alerting solutions
• Perform solution testing, diagnose and resolve system issues, and provide guidance on potential impacts to other systems

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a computer-related field or equivalent relevant experience
• Five years of programming experience or related experience
• Insurance experience preferred
• Strong programming capabilities, particularly with Unisys platform, mapper, or Cobol
• Ability to work after hours on call as needed
