Job Summary

A company is looking for a Mainframe Hardware Configuration Engineer.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and configure mainframe hardware systems to meet global infrastructure needs
• Diagnose and resolve hardware issues to ensure optimal performance and reliability
• Maintain detailed documentation of hardware configurations and participate in data center relocations and disaster recovery exercises

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in mainframe hardware and software engineering
• 7+ years of experience with mainframe hardware components and troubleshooting techniques
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Understanding of standard networking protocols and components is advantageous
• Certifications (e.g., IBM Certified Specialist) may be beneficial
