Mainframe Infrastructure Engineer

Job Summary

Serving as a key contact for mainframe operations, the full-time Sr. Infrastructure Engineer I will oversee the health and performance of mainframe systems, manage service requests and incidents, and facilitate communication between application teams and managed service providers in a hybrid work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily health, stability, and performance of mainframe systems and tools
• Manage service requests and incidents, providing troubleshooting and coordination with service providers
• Coordinate mainframe application upgrades and changes, partnering with application teams to minimize risk and downtime

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
• 6-9 years of relevant experience, preferably in financial services
• Strong working knowledge of mainframe tools and technologies, including ESP Scheduler and Endevor
• Experience managing incident, problem, and change processes in a large-scale enterprise environment
• Familiarity with web services and real-time mainframe integrations
