Mainframe Migration Engineer
Job Summary
Seeking a remote Mainframe Migration Engineer, the candidate will be responsible for analyzing, transforming, and migrating legacy JCL-based batch processes to modern platforms like Azure, ensuring performance stability and minimal disruption during transitions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze Control-M and/or Atomic schedules on the mainframe
- Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and investigation of JCL jobs, including spool and SMF
- Support the conversion of mainframe batch jobs (JCL) to PowerShell scripts for Azure
Required Qualifications:
- Expertise in Mainframe JCL and Job Scheduler, particularly Control-M
- Strong experience with PowerShell scripting and automation in Azure
- Familiarity with CICS and experience with migration projects from mainframe to cloud
- Ability to interpret and convert JCL scripts to PowerShell
- Experience with Agile methodologies and working in cross-functional teams
