Mainframe MQ Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Mainframe MQ Engineer.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide support for IBM MQ on z/OS and IBMi, including creating and maintaining QMGRs and objects
• Monitor and troubleshoot MQ performance, implementing solutions for real-time and historical analysis
• Create and maintain technical documentation and messaging flows, while participating in on-call rotations for support

Required Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in IBM MQ support
• Hands-on experience with MQ on z/OS and knowledge of MQ on IBMi preferred
• Proficiency with z/OS, ISPF, JCL, SDSF, JES, PDSE, and VSAM
• Experience with various MQ connectivity methods and monitoring solutions
• Familiarity with IBM software and support for PLM and technical troubleshooting
