Job Summary

A company is looking for a Mainframe MQ Engineer.

Key Responsibilities

Provide support for IBM MQ on z/OS and IBMi, including creating and maintaining QMGRs and objects
Monitor MQ performance and implement solutions for troubleshooting, tuning, and alerting
Create and maintain technical documentation and messaging flows, and participate in on-call support rotations

Required Qualifications

At least 5 years of experience in IBM MQ support
Hands-on experience with MQ on z/OS and knowledge of MQ on IBMi preferred
Proficiency with z/OS, ISPF, JCL, SDSF, JES, and related utilities
Experience with various MQ connectivity methods and monitoring solutions
Ability to use AI tools for data analysis and recommendations
