Mainframe Print Systems Engineer
Job Summary
Supporting the administration of IBM Infoprint and mainframe print environments, the remote contract Output/Infoprint/Mainframe Print Systems Engineer will manage print system operations, troubleshoot issues, and provide technical guidance for modernization initiatives.
Key responsibilities:
- Administer IBM Infoprint/Print Services Facility and related mainframe print environments
- Analyze current mainframe print products to support migration planning and execution
- Develop and maintain REXX scripts and JCL for print system operations
Required qualifications:
- Extensive experience with IBM mainframe print systems and Infoprint/IPS environments
- Strong knowledge of mainframe print formatting, including PAGEDEFS and FORMDEFS
- Experience with z/OS systems administration, JES2, and SDSF
- Working knowledge of networking technologies, including TCP/IP and VTAM
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent technical experience preferred
