Mainframe System Programmer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Mainframe System Programmer.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain existing Mainframe Systems and assist in system migrations
• Handle system backups and respond to technical issues affecting system functionality
• Configure TCP/IP and associated servers, and manage OS upgrades and software installations

Required Qualifications

• Experience with z/OS concepts, including JES2, SDSF, and RACF
• Familiarity with Physical and Virtual tape library configuration
• Knowledge of major subsystems such as CICS, IMS, and DB2
• Experience in storage management tools like SMS and HSM
• Ability to work independently and self-motivate
