Mainframe Systems Programmer
Job Summary
Providing premium software support and services remotely, the full-time Mainframe Systems Programmer will manage customer service orders, resolve issues related to CICS TS and related OEM software products, and assist in customer migrations while adhering to best practices and change control procedures.
Key responsibilities
- Fulfill customer service orders for mainframe z/OS customers related to CICS TS and OEM software products
- Provide primary support for reported problems and assist in customer migrations, ensuring timely resolutions
- Execute tasks associated with disaster recovery plans and follow ITSM change control procedures for software installations and upgrades
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years of experience on the zSeries platform with hands-on technical experience in CICS TS and OEM product support
- Thorough working knowledge of CICS TS capabilities, installation, and tailoring
- Strong analytical skills and understanding of CICS TS concepts and performance monitoring
- Experience with IBM's SMP/E for product maintenance and upgrades
