Mainframe Systems Programmer
Job Summary
Providing support for ongoing projects, the full-time remote Mainframe Systems Programmer will manage the installation, upgrade, testing, configuration, and implementation of ISV software while also participating in on-call support and incident resolution.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor and provide on-call support for ISV software, ensuring timely incident and problem resolution
- Conduct research and evaluation of new software, assisting team members with technical inquiries
- Manage configuration and customization of z/OS components and related support products
Required qualifications
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a mainframe environment within a large enterprise or equivalent education and experience
- Bachelor's degree required or equivalent work experience
- Strong knowledge of z/OS installation and maintenance, including SMP/E
- Proficiency in TSO/ISPF, SDSF, JCL, and Unix System Services (USS) file system management
- Ability to perform moderately complex ISV installations and work effectively as a team member
