Mainframe Systems Programmer/DBA
Job Summary
To support complex database upgrade projects, the full-time Mainframe Systems Programmer/DBA will manage and enhance database environments, perform technical consulting, and oversee the installation and maintenance of core database products in a hybrid work setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and upgrade various database types including IMS, DB2, and ADABAS while ensuring database health and performance
- Provide technical consulting for application and operations teams, assisting in project planning and development
- Develop and implement backup, recovery, and performance monitoring procedures for database systems
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of seven years of experience as a Systems Programmer/DBA, with at least three years in a lead role
- Four years of DB Administration experience in Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MS SQL Server environments
- Three years of experience in transferring, validating, and maintaining databases in a cloud environment
- Five years of experience utilizing StarQuest Stelo Data Replication software
- Bachelor's degree in an IT-related or engineering field
