Job Summary
Supporting mainframe operations and system stability, the full-time Mainframe ZOS System Programmer will develop, maintain, and optimize mainframe systems while working in a collaborative environment with flexible remote options.
Key responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and support mainframe systems to ensure optimal performance and security
- Utilize Job Control Language (JCL) to automate and streamline batch processing tasks
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement tuning strategies for efficiency enhancement
Required qualifications
- Extensive experience with Job Control Language (JCL) and Mainframe Operating Systems (z/OS)
- Proven background in mainframe support and operations, including system performance tuning and troubleshooting
- Deep understanding of system security frameworks such as RACF, ACF2, or Top Secret
- Experience with TSO/ISPF, dataset management, and system utilities
- Familiarity with batch scheduling tools like CA-7, Control-M, or similar
