Major Gifts Director

Job Summary

Leading major gift fundraising efforts, the full-time salaried Major Gifts Director will collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement a strategy for donor engagement, maintain relationships with major donors, and create impactful development materials in a remote setting.

Key responsibilities:

• Plan and lead the organization's major gift fundraising strategy, including donor prioritization and engagement
• Maintain and manage a portfolio of major donors, ensuring regular communication and relationship maintenance
• Develop and update written development materials such as pitch decks and grant narratives to support fundraising efforts

Required qualifications:

• At least 5 years of experience in nonprofit or political fundraising at progressive organizations
• Strong writing and editing skills, with experience creating donor-facing materials
• Experience in major donor and foundation fundraising, including relationship management
• Highly organized and detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously
• Familiarity with Salesforce or other CRM systems
