Major Gifts Officer

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Advisor, Strategic Philanthropy (Major Gifts Officer) to manage and grow a national portfolio of high-capacity donors.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a national portfolio of major gift donors and prospects with an annual revenue responsibility growing to $1M
• Develop and execute tailored discovery, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies for donor engagement
• Coordinate donor engagement across multiple markets to ensure consistent messaging and alignment with donor interests

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree or CFRE certification strongly preferred
• 7-10+ years of frontline fundraising experience with a strong track record in major gifts
• Demonstrated success managing major gift portfolios generating $1M+ annually
• Proven experience closing multi-year commitments and cultivating planned and tax-smart gifts
• Proficiency with Salesforce or comparable donor management systems
