Major Gifts Officer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Major Gifts Officer to support strategic fundraising and programmatic oversight of special fundraising programs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a portfolio of >100 major/planned/principal gift donors and prospective donors
• Support the Senior Director, Major Gifts in growing existing programs and building new special fundraising programs
• Identify, cultivate, solicit, negotiate, and steward major gifts utilizing moves management and cultivation plans

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work experience
• 5+ years of fundraising experience in non-profit organizations, with proven success in managing a team
• Proven success in cultivating and closing philanthropic gifts, including among high-net-worth individuals
• Familiarity with moves management
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and fundraising software
