Job Summary
To build and execute a comprehensive major gifts fundraising strategy, the full-time Major Gifts Officer - TX will manage a portfolio of high-capacity donors, focusing on securing significant contributions while working remotely within a multi-state territory.
Key responsibilities
- Secure five-, six-, and seven-figure gifts from individuals and family foundations to support the USO's mission
- Manage a portfolio of 75 donors, leveraging wealth analytics to identify and qualify new prospects
- Maintain an active schedule of moves management to cultivate and solicit donors through various engagement methods
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree preferred
- 5+ years of experience in individual, foundation, and corporate giving, with at least 2 years as a frontline fundraiser
- Demonstrated ability to engage new major gift prospects and adapt to changing organizational needs
- Solid knowledge of IRS guidelines for charitable contributions and charity accountability standards
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and donor database software, such as Raiser's Edge
