Job Summary
To support the Contract Administration team, the full-time Managed Care Coordinator will manage reimbursement calculations, perform payment variance analysis, and assist with contract modeling and negotiation activities in a remote capacity.
Key responsibilities
- Build and maintain reimbursement configurations within Epic for various payers, ensuring accurate alignment with payer systems
- Support major payer negotiations by analyzing contract modeling scenarios and summarizing financial impacts for leadership
- Validate contract builds through payment variance analysis and collaborate with teams to resolve discrepancies
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
- Two years of experience with managed care contracts and provider relations (or equivalent experience based on education level)
- Certification in Epic Hospital Billing Expected Reimbursement Contracts or similar proficiency expected within the first 90 days
- General understanding of Healthcare Revenue Cycle processes
- Experience with insurance payment processes and posting of payer remittance information
