Managed Care Strategist

Job Summary

To enhance managed care agreements, the full-time Managed Care Strategist will develop terms, negotiate contracts, and collaborate with leadership across various entities to ensure effective implementation and address operational challenges, working remotely from multiple states.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and negotiate managed care agreements while ensuring operational performance of payer relationships
• Collaborate with leadership to implement contracts and resolve payer-related challenges
• Conduct regulatory assessments and gap analyses to create detailed project work plans

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or healthcare
• Five years of related work experience in managed care contracting
• Working knowledge of state and federal managed care regulations and healthcare delivery system operations
• Understanding of hospital and professional coding and reimbursement methodologies
• Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software
