Management Company Controller

Job Summary

Managing a diverse portfolio of clients, the full-time salaried Management Company Controller will oversee accounting and operational functions for Venture Capital and Private Equity firms while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Develop staff through performance management, goal setting, and ongoing training
• Oversee the month-end close process and prepare financial reporting in accordance with US GAAP
• Manage payroll, accounts payable processes, and respond to ad hoc client requests

Required qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounting role, with knowledge of accounts payable and payroll cycles
• Experience in the alternative asset space, specifically Venture Capital or Private Equity
• Proven experience managing a team and leading client engagements
• Proficiency in accounting systems such as Xero or Quickbooks
• External auditor or CPA certification is a plus
