Manager, Detection Engineering

Job Summary

Leading the Rapid Response Team, the full-time Manager, Detection Engineering will oversee detection coverage for emerging threats and vulnerabilities while personally contributing to detection engineering efforts and managing a specialized team in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop, review, and drive detections, setting technical standards for the team
• Lead and mentor a team of detection engineers, managing hiring, performance, and day-to-day operations
• Oversee RRT's operational cadence, including threat triage, incident coordination, and workload balancing

Required qualifications:

• Proven experience leading or mentoring a detection engineering or SOC-adjacent team
• Current hands-on expertise in detection engineering, including writing and tuning detection rules
• Strong experience with GitHub and detection-as-code pipelines
• Experience developing detections across multiple engines (e.g., endpoint, cloud, SIEM)
• Strong understanding of adversary behavior and real-world threats, including familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK
