Manager of Application Development

Job Summary

Leading a team of developers and technical professionals, the full-time Manager of Application Development will oversee the software development lifecycle for health insurance systems, ensuring alignment with business objectives and compliance requirements while working remotely or onsite.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) for health insurance systems, including enrollment, claims, and customer portals
• Lead application modernization efforts, including cloud migration and refactoring systems into microservices
• Collaborate with business and product teams to translate requirements into technical solutions while ensuring adherence to regulatory standards

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field preferred
• At least 10 years of experience in Information Technology, with 7 years in Application Development and Support and 3 years in a supervisory role
• Strong understanding of healthcare systems and regulatory compliance (e.g., HIPAA, CMS)
• Proficiency in modern development frameworks (e.g., .NET, Java) and cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS)
• Demonstrated leadership in Agile methodologies, including Scrum or SAFe
