Job Summary

A company is looking for a Mgr Coding to oversee the coding function for professional and facility billing across multiple surgical/procedural specialties.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and resolve complex coding requests and communicate with relevant stakeholders to maximize reimbursement
• Develop and implement standardized coding processes and ensure compliance with ICD/CPT coding requirements
• Supervise coding staff, conduct performance evaluations, and participate in budget development and management

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 7-10 years of healthcare experience required
• Five years of coding experience and certification in physician-based coding
• Minimum of 4 years of managerial experience in a physician billing setting
• Extensive knowledge of ICD and CPT coding, as well as third-party payer requirements
• Ability to maintain current knowledge of coding and billing practices through continuous education
