Job Summary
Directing the day-to-day operations of the Conflict of Interest and Conflict of Commitment program, the full-time Manager of Conflict of Interest will independently review disclosures, resolve complex matters, and ensure compliance with federal regulations and university policies while working in a hybrid or remote capacity.
Key responsibilities
- Independently review and resolve disclosures related to conflict of interest and commitment, serving as an escalation point for complex cases
- Prepare materials for the Central Conflict of Interest Committee and communicate outcomes to stakeholders, ensuring timely management of research-related activities
- Analyze regulatory developments and recommend updates to policies, while developing and delivering educational outreach for faculty and staff
Required qualifications
- Advanced degree (JD, MS, MPH, or PhD) and/or professional certification in research compliance or administration
- Demonstrated experience administering a conflict of interest and commitment program at a research university or academic medical center
- Working knowledge of PHS/NIH financial conflict of interest regulations and NSF requirements
- Experience assessing complex faculty outside activities and advising on institutional conflict of interest management
- Familiarity with electronic disclosure systems and experience in service or instructional design
