Manager of Eligibility and Benefits

Job Summary

Responsible for directing daily operations, the full-time remote Manager of Eligibility and Benefits will manage insurance verification, financial clearance, and point-of-service collection teams while standardizing workflows and driving revenue retention through accurate patient financial responsibility calculations.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and train eligibility verification and insurance specialist teams to ensure effective operations
• Oversee eligibility verification workflows across multiple clinical specialties to prevent claim denials
• Serve as the primary administrator for major commercial payer portals to resolve complex coverage issues

Required qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle, patient access, eligibility, or benefits
• Experience working with Medicare and commercial insurance plans
• Proven track record of managing front-end or point-of-service collection rates in a healthcare setting
• At least 2-3 years of direct supervisory or management experience in healthcare administration
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with enterprise-level EHR platforms
