Manager of Financial Reporting

Job Summary

Managing internal and external financial reporting, the full-time remote Manager of Financial Reporting will prepare and analyze financial reports, evaluate financial performance, and develop forecasts for senior leadership while overseeing the Financial Reporting and Tax teams.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, analyze, and deliver accurate financial reports for internal management and external regulatory compliance
• Evaluate financial performance through analysis of accounting and operational data, and develop forecasts for senior leadership
• Supervise day-to-day activities of the Financial Reporting and Tax teams, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in a people leadership or management role
• 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting and financial reporting, including GAAP and statutory accounting standards
• Working knowledge of statutory accounting principles and life insurance accounting practices
• Experience using financial systems, including general ledger platforms and financial reporting tools
