Job Summary
To support regional generator interconnection processes, the full-time Manager of Interconnection Services will manage the development and construction of projects, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with interconnection standards and regulatory requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate with Subject Matter Experts to conduct interconnection analysis and perform prospecting studies for optimal generator resource placement
- Manage the generator interconnection application process, including compliance with regulatory timelines and conducting network upgrade cost estimates
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize the generator interconnection process while monitoring industry trends and regulatory changes
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field
- 3+ years of experience in power systems, transmission planning, or related areas
- Thorough understanding of NERC reliability standards and transmission policy issues
- Experience with interconnection studies and regulatory compliance
- Familiarity with industry tools such as PowerGEM, TARA, PSS/E, and ASPEN
