Job Summary
Leading a team of Implementation Managers and Merchant Operations Specialists, the full-time remote Manager of Merchant Operations will oversee end-to-end merchant onboarding, payment gateway configuration, and ongoing operational support while driving continuous process improvement and managing departmental risk and compliance.
Key responsibilities
- Guide Implementation Managers in overseeing merchant onboarding from sales handover through go-live and Client Services transition
- Monitor performance metrics, conduct audits, and partner with underwriting and risk teams on merchant reviews and compliance issues
- Identify process improvements and maintain departmental accountability for service level agreement adherence
Required qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of experience in payment processing and managing merchant onboarding or implementation workflows
- At least 2 years of experience in a people management or team lead capacity
- Deep knowledge of payment processing ecosystems, including gateway platforms and compliance requirements
- Proficiency with project management tools and CRM/ticketing systems
