Manager of Model Governance

Job Summary

Leading a team of data scientists and governance professionals, the full-time remote Manager of Model Governance will set strategic direction, enhance governance practices, and manage relationships with customers and internal teams to ensure effective model risk management.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, grow, and develop a team focused on model governance and risk management
• Own the execution of performance monitoring, governance documentation, and model validation processes
• Prepare governance documentation and validation reports for internal leadership and external stakeholders

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in model risk management, validation, or governance, with a focus on building teams
• 4+ years of people management experience in model risk or governance
• Deep knowledge of model governance regulations and standards relevant to financial institutions
• Proficiency in Python and SQL, with the ability to engage with data scientists on technical matters
• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Math, Statistics, or Engineering
