Manager of Model Governance

Job Summary

Leading a team of data scientists and governance professionals, the full-time remote Manager of Model Governance will be responsible for setting the long-term strategy, enhancing model governance practices, and managing relationships across various departments and with customers in the financial sector.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop a growing team focused on model governance and risk management
• Establish and enhance governance practices including performance monitoring, validation, and documentation
• Manage customer relationships and guide adoption while ensuring compliance with governance standards

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in model risk management, validation, or governance, with a focus on building teams
• 4+ years of people management experience in model risk or governance settings
• Deep knowledge of model governance regulations and standards for financial institutions
• Proficiency in Python and SQL, with the ability to engage technically with data scientists
• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Math, Statistics, or Engineering
