Job Summary
Managing day-to-day performance of a team focused on analyzing and recovering underpayments from No Surprises Act eligible claims, the full-time Manager of Payment Variance will ensure adherence to operational priorities, drive productivity, and support the adoption of tools and processes in a fully remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Own and drive team performance, ensuring achievement of key KPIs including throughput, productivity, quality, and cycle time
- Manage daily workflow execution, ensuring proper prioritization, assignment, and adherence to defined processes and payer guidelines
- Coach and develop supervisors to improve team performance, providing ongoing feedback and reinforcing accountability
Required qualifications
- Associate's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Finance, or related field or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of experience working directly with No Surprises Act claims, including negotiations and Independent Dispute Resolution (IDR)
- 5+ years of experience in Revenue Cycle Management or related healthcare operations
- Strong knowledge of the Open Negotiation (ON) and IDR processes
- Proven ability to drive team-level performance in a metrics-driven environment
