Manager of Peer Review Excellence

Job Summary

Reporting to the Director of Editorial and Researcher Experience, the full-time Manager of Peer Review Excellence will lead the design and continuous improvement of peer review workflows, manage vendor relationships, and oversee manuscript tracking system migrations, all while fostering collaboration and operational excellence in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide leadership for the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of peer review workflows across the journal portfolio
• Manage vendor-supported editorial operations and develop performance dashboards to enhance service quality and efficiency
• Lead operational activities for manuscript tracking system migrations, including workflow design, training, and change management

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
• 7+ years of experience in scholarly publishing, editorial operations, and peer review management
• Experience leading workflow automation and operational improvement initiatives
• Strong analytical and project management capabilities
• Demonstrated ability to use operational data to drive continuous improvement
