Manager of Prospect Research

Job Summary

Responsible for delivering proactive and reactive donor research, the full-time Manager of Prospect Research will conduct relationship mapping, develop donor briefs and profiles, and perform wealth screenings to strengthen the prospect pipeline and support strategic fundraising growth, preferably based in Washington, DC, with the possibility of remote work for the right candidate.

Key responsibilities

• Execute prospect research to analyze fundraising information related to current and prospective donors
• Implement wealth screening and validation to identify major funders within the donor pool
• Partner with fundraising teams to develop cultivation and solicitation plans, ensuring effective prospect prioritization

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required
• 4-6 years of related prospect development and research experience
• High proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and CRM databases; Raiser's Edge or RE NXT preferred
• Experience with prospect research tools such as ResearchPoint, iWave PRO, and WealthX
• Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills, with a commitment to donor privacy and confidentiality
