Manager of Quantitative Development

Job Summary

Leading a team of quantitative developers, the full-time Manager of Quantitative Development will actively engage in building and supporting quantitative models for a web-based energy analytics platform while managing project delivery and technical standards in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Mentor and grow a team of quantitative developers through hiring, onboarding, and performance management
• Own delivery for a portfolio of quantitative models by scoping work, setting priorities, and managing timelines
• Develop new quantitative models and enhancements while contributing production code as an active team member

Required qualifications

• M.S. or Ph.D. in a quantitative discipline; candidates with a B.S. and outstanding experience will also be considered
• 6-8 years of experience in building and delivering quantitative models in R or Python
• Experience leading technical teams or projects, with a focus on mentoring
• Deep expertise in time series analysis, Monte Carlo simulation, and advanced optimization techniques
• Strong software engineering fundamentals, including version control and testing; familiarity with git, Linux, Docker, and/or Kubernetes is preferred
