Job Summary

To advance coordinated state-level advocacy initiatives, the full-time hourly Manager of State Advocacy will lead engagement efforts with over 60 State, Provincial, and Territorial Psychological Associations, manage grant programs, and support the annual Practice and SPTA Leaders Conference in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities
  • Support coordinated engagement efforts with SPTA leaders to strengthen advocacy capacity and partnership alignment
  • Provide administrative support for SPTA grant programs, including application processes and compliance tracking
  • Manage advocacy-related projects and tools that support SPTAs, overseeing implementation and evaluation
Required qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred in psychology, public health, political science, or public policy
  • A minimum of four years of progressively responsible experience in advocacy or project management
  • Three to five years of experience in a scientific, research, or health-focused organization
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
  • Experience with grant administration or program oversight preferred
