Manager of Technical Accounting

Job Summary

To support a growing technical accounting function, the full-time Manager of Technical Accounting will manage technical research, revenue recognition under ASC 606, and assist with SEC reporting while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical accounting support by researching and drafting memos on complex transactions and implementing new accounting standards
• Review customer contracts for revenue recognition under ASC 606 and improve related processes and controls
• Assist in the preparation of periodic SEC filings and ensure accurate financial disclosures and compliance with reporting standards

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 4-7 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably with Big 4 or large regional firm experience
• Hands-on experience with ASC 606 and drafting revenue recognition memos
• Familiarity with SEC reporting concepts and SOX internal controls
• Strong Excel skills and experience with ERP and SEC reporting tools
