Job Summary
To support the advancement of opportunities for individuals with disabilities and older adults, the remote-eligible Managing Consultant - HCBS will lead multidisciplinary teams, provide consulting services to state and local clients, and conduct research to improve home and community-based services programs.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and participate in multidisciplinary teams to enhance state policy and programs related to long-term services and supports
- Provide consulting services, develop health policies, and assist clients with submissions to CMS and negotiations for new programs
- Conduct research and author technical documents, reports, and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations
Required qualifications
- Master's degree in public policy, public administration, public health, healthcare administration, business, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- At least five years of experience managing complex projects or tasks related to healthcare or health policy
- Strong understanding of community LTSS programs, including HCBS waivers and Medicaid State Plan benefits
- Experience navigating federal regulations for community LTSS programs, including HCBS waivers and transitions from institutional settings
- Demonstrated ability to lead activities and manage tasks through the project lifecycle in a collaborative environment
