Job Summary
As a key player in a hybrid role, the Managing Director, California Licensed, will oversee financial management, operational leadership, and client service initiatives for a leading law firm's Emerging Growth & Venture Capital platform, contributing to strategic growth while collaborating with senior leadership.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee pitch and proposal activity, budgeting, and compliance with client guidelines while tracking key financial KPIs
- Act as the primary business liaison between practice leadership and internal teams, optimizing workflows and resource allocation
- Partner with pricing and legal project management teams to develop fee arrangements and address client administrative needs
Required qualifications
- 10+ years of legal or law firm experience in practice management or professional services business operations
- Bachelor's Degree in Legal Studies, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or JD preferred
- Proven ability to communicate complex financial and operational information to senior leadership
- Experience in driving growth and operational excellence in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and decision-making skills with a focus on client service
